Fear sucks

Don't you feel it, being trapped in your own self because of something internal or external , real or imaginary constantly pulls you back ?

Some fears are good, stuff like looking at the speedometer while we drive. I must say most fears are debilitating it just stops you from achieving your potential. How many of us have the courage to say something and act on it?

As a kid the world of fear is overwhelming but we feel comforted because we know we are protected by our parents. As we grow fear stays with us but we slowly begins to realize that we are our own and we must deal with demons or succumb to them. How much we succede in our internal wars with these demons will determine how far we go in our life.

Quips from Malayalam movie directors

Some of these things I recollected from my memory.

Once Ramu Kariat said it will take Malayalees 25 years to understand his movies. He must have said that after he released "Malangkattu" (Wild Wind") which bombed big time in box office.

Actress Sridevi on I.V.Sasi. She said I.V. Sasi is a great director but he has a tendency to cast heroines in miniskirts!

Bharathan said P.N.Menon introduced him to painting when he was a kid. P.N. Menon was his uncle (I think ) and a famous film director himself who used bring him color pencils.

Anonymous Engineer

That is how I would like to describe my day job. It is predictable, mostly uneventful but hours and hours of confining work, within the walls of a cubicle. I have nothing to complain about, a job get done is always appreciated. I am surrounded by a lot of wonderful people and I often think the most positive aspect of a day job is you get paid for using your brain, if you are lucky.

The other part of me is craving to be a film maker. This is more interesting and I am hoping to expand on my ideas and hopefully find someone with similar interest to team up and create something beautiful one day.

I have been telling my daughter bedtime stories and now she has become very fluent in the plots and character that I create. Now I must be very careful not to confuse characters their traits and the places where they live. Stories have become too intertwined that it has become rather difficult to keep track of all these characters.

Some of the characters we created are rather unusual:

1. Paper cow - normally found in remote corner of the galaxy. They produce milk eventhough they are only two dimensional!

2. Space Monkeys - they are space-pirates often attack traders and cargo convoys. Recently a benevolent space monkey king has reined in their violent behavior.

3. Dragon of the east - fearsome dragon with mighty spiritual power

4. Sea Witches

5. Wizard of the island

6. A runaway parrot

7. Black Magician

8. Seven Saints

9. Pony kingdom

10. A rooster and hen

11. Fairy kingdom
